Charlotte County deputy won’t face charges in 2025 shooting

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) - The state attorney’s office will not file charges against a former Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputy who shot a man during a disturbance call in 2025.“On June 30, 2026, we received formal written notice from the State Attorney’s Office indicating, after a full review of the case, it has been determined that there was no violation of the law,” Sheriff Bill Prummell said in a statement Friday.Poole was responding to a call reporting of a battery occurring at the Deep Creek Golf Club.
