Biketoberfest is in full swing in Daytona Beach this weekend, bringing packed crowds to Main Street just days after a shootout near Froggy’s Saloon.Organizers say this year’s event, the 34th annual Biketoberfest, is expected to draw about 125,000 riders and generate an estimated $16 million in revenue for local businesses. The crowds came three days after a gunfight erupted overnight on Main Street near Froggy’s. Two people were hospitalized in critical condition. A 26-year-old Port Orange man, Steven Ott, has since been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with Monday’s shooting.Daytona Beach police have emphasized that the incident was isolated and not related to Biketoberfest.Several bikers News 6 spoke with on Thursday night said they generally feel safe at the event, though some said heavy drinking can raise concerns.“I do have a concern when you get a lot of people drinking,” said Jackie Hostetter, who travels from Virginia each year for Biketoberfest.Daytona B
